I’ve just bought this kettle and I think it’s great. It’s nice a sturdy, the handle feels very secure. It boils very quickly and most of all it’s nice and bright. It’s not too in your face pink but a strong, deep pink that compliments my colour scheme nicely. Great!

Looking for a kettle? Then I highly recommend this one. To begin with, it’s pink! But not a horrid pink, a really nice shade. Also I love the soft touch handle and the button for opening the lid is brilliant. It is well balanced when you pick it up with or without water in it and it has all the features that you would look for in a kettle like a water gauge, “on” light and it boils water! My flatmate says the lid looks like a pedal bin lid but I really like it. I would recommend eating pink wafers with a cup of tea made in your new pink kettle for the full magical pink experience!!!

The colour of this kettle is really gorgeous, such a standout magenta and so bright and cheerful in my kitchen. What a change from my previous boring stainless steel set. I’m not sure if any kettle can be considered a thing of beauty but trust me this is as close as it gets :-)

The superb quality of design and finish with this item were immediately apparent in taking it out of the box.

It boils really quickly, has a lit on/off button at base, a push button to open the lid to fill (I hate filling from the spout), a soft grip handle, and a really nice touch is that the fill indicator is based on number of cups and not mls.

Well done kenwood, it is an absolute pleasure to use.

It’s a nice looking kettle and boils quickly enough albeit with some noise. It can be difficult to keep clean being shiny metal and of course it gets hot – but if you buy a metal kettle that’s to be expected.
It has a limescale filter and I love the cordless feature, sitting on a base.
However, after 2.5 years it is showing signs of dying – a couple of times it has not switched off and almost boiled dry and the appears to have started leaking water at the bottom. I’ve had kettles that lasted longer.
You can pick this up very cheaply so overall it’s an OK kettle.

It looks good but ours doesnt work, the on off switch broke after 3 weeks. Its very noisey and not as fast as others, still it looks good.

A good review will help to backup their feelings and at the moment I have no reason not to give this kettle top marks. It fits the bill as far as I am concerned. It looks good. It's a fair price. I don't have to drum my fingers waiting for it to boil. The lid opens easily to 90 degrees, which I find good as I usually fill from a filter water jug in order to reduce scaling. The water line is clearly visible and it pours nicely. All in all I am pleased with my purchase. Purchasers of any product may first be tempted by the looks of an item and then perhaps the price. A good review will help to backup their feelings and at the moment I have no reason not to give this kettle top marks. It fits the bill as far as I am concerned. It looks good. It’s a fair price. I am writing this review because I love the Tefal Quick Cup and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

Both my husband and I use it on a regular basis and after 5 weeks we’re still using the original cartridge which I think is excellent. As for energy saving then it remains to be seen if our electric bills go down, but at the same time as buying this kettle we did change all our light bulbs to energy saving ones, but in this climate I guess every little helps.

The only downside of the Tefal Quick Cup is how noisy it is, but since its only for a few seconds per cup its easy to put up with.

I have read mixed reviews but I read with an open mind and prefer to make my own mind up and in this instance I’m glad that I did.

I am only writing this review because of the slightly misleading nature of the other review.

The instruction manual suggests a new filter every 6 – 10 weeks depending on the water in your area and how much use the device gets. But the machine will operate without a filter at all and just because the light suggests a new filter after 2 or 3 weeks you don’t have to get one.

I have had mine since Christmas and love it (especially good if like me you use coffee bags – bag in Mug press button walk away come back 5 minutes later), everyone who’s seen it wants one!

I live in a hard water area and only now after 10 weeks am I about to purchase a new filter.
