This kettle though would probably appeal to someone who wants a bit more than the usual standard white plastic version. It's very stylish with sleek lines and fashionable eye popping colours. I have the green one and it matches in very well with other green accessories from different manufacturers. If you want lime green - this one will be the right colour. However it does have a few niggling problems. Firstly the instructions tell you not to fill the kettle through the spout, but the lid is small and difficult to remove and put back. It's fiddly and does not click back in place easily. The second problem with this kettle is that although it will boil one cup of water, and the instructions recommend only boiling the amount you need, the water gauge only starts at 4 cups, and then does not register unless you give the kettle a bit of a shake. All kettles really need to do is boil water, and this one boils water as well as any other kettle. This kettle though would probably appeal to someone who wants a bit more than the usual standard white plastic version. It’s very stylish with sleek lines and fashionable eye popping colours. I have the green one and it matches in very well with other green accessories from different manufacturers. If you want lime green – this one will be the right colour. However it does have a few niggling problems. Firstly the instructions tell you not to fill the kettle through the spout, but the lid is small and difficult to remove and put back. It’s fiddly and does not click back in place easily. The box that it ships in is gigantic! There’s a normal sized Breville box, inside a very large brown Amazon.co.uk box, with lots of brown paper padding. I suppose the packaging is protective, and necessary. (It’s all recyclable). I was surprised by how light the box felt.

The kettle itself looks beautiful; the design is also very functional. I love that the handle doesn’t get hot, or very warm, even. It does a remarkable job of heat insulation – far better than any kettle that I have seen.

(I’m comparing it to a swanky Siemens Porsche kettle, that I’ve used in the home of a wealthy acquaintance – that looked good, but was not very functional)

The handle is a great size and shape; pouring is very easy. (I can be little clumsy so this is a very welcome feature).

I love that you don’t have to keep unplugging and replugging the power cord; you just rest it on the base, at any angle.

The sound that it makes when boiling is very relaxing/soothing, to me.

The bottom line: It looks classy, is highly functional. Highly recommended.

Previous 3 kettles have been so noisy as soon as turned on making it difficult to hear the radio or phone. This one is so quiet I have to check the light to be sure it is on! It does make some noise when hot but nothing like previous models all ‘big’ makes. The flip top is great for filling as the old one was difficult through the spout and usually splashed out. It is also so much lighter in weight than previous. There is a sensibly large water level viewer on both sides so OK for left or right handers, old one had a narrow strip impossible to see. It boils in much the same time as the old 3kW one. I wasn’t sure about the black finish but it looks great! Less than half the price of previous kettle! Pours well.
I got mine from Ryness Lighting & Electrical -speedy delivery! Which was great as old one had died.

Most kettles seem to be 3kw, and this is 2.2kw. However I don't think that there is any discernible difference in boil times to my old 3kw kettle. I was fed up with replacing £50 kettles every 6 months (the last 2), and so wanted a cheap but efficient one. This is good looking and easy to fill – a press of a button and the lid flips up. I have not caught my fingers on this switch, but you might if you are a man with very large hands. There is no plastic small or taste which you sometimes get with a new kettle, but I boiled it and ditched the water 3 times before use. The positive thing in my mind, is that is is quiet and quick. Most kettles seem to be 3kw, and this is 2.2kw. However I don’t think that there is any discernible difference in boil times to my old 3kw kettle. If this one broke in the future, I would buy another one!

I got this kettle along with the plum toaster mostly for the colour. I didn’t really need a new kettle, only toaster but sinced they matched and were purple (my favourite colour) they both had to go together. Besides from looking pretty thee kettle is good too. It recommends filling through the spout as it filters the water as it goes in which helps and means descaling less often. Also I have the wistle turned on which lets you know it has boiled whatever room you are in it can be heard. Overall a great kettle that brightens up the kitchen!

this kettle is easy to fill, easy to pour (right weight balance)fab colour, and easy to wipe clean seems to resist those horrible water stains quite well. I bought this kettle for its looks alone. It has a lovely gloss finish in a deep plum and looks very classy. It boils very quietly and quickly and also has an optional whistle which is easily turned on and off. It also lights up inside when it is turned on.
In short it does everything expected of a kettle and looks good too.

The Kettle is great. i like it a lot, i’m very happy with it so far. i would recommend it.

The Delivery on the other hand was “MRW.es” (A terrible company here in spain)
They lost the first order. I waited 2 weeks then reported it to amazon who shipped me a new one the very next day free of charge (thanks amazon)
It then took MRW 3 failed attempts to even find my apartment. they then gave up, and i had to meat them near McDonald’s. (lol) (which i cant do every time i buy something from amazon!)
I have never had a problem like this with any other delivery service, as my urbanization is very easy to find.
I will never use MRW again.

Conclusion:
